NOTES
- The Broncos enter week two of the season after falling to San José State, No. 14 Oregon, and Portland State at the Oregon Invitational. Santa Clara battled in some close sets throughout the tournament, including three frames that the Broncos held a late two-point lead in before the opponent rallied to take the set. (23-21 set two vs. SJSU, 24-22 set four vs. SJSU, 20-18 set four vs. Portland State)
- Michelle Shaffer was named to the Oregon Invitational All-Tournament Team for her performance over three matches on opening weekend. She led the Broncos with 40 kills (3.64/set) and had at least 11 kills in all three contests.
- Preseason All-WCC selection Julia Sangiacomo led the Broncos with 4.22 kills/set on opening weekend and her 19 kills against Portland State were the most by a Bronco in any of the three matches.
- Kat Georgiadis set a career-high mark with 18 digs in the season-opening match against San José State, then bested that mark with 26 digs against Portland State. She leads the West Coast Conference with 55 digs and 5.0 digs/set.
- Anna Stucchi, Nive Tuileta and Grace Wee made their Santa Clara debuts against San José State. Tuileta started all three matches at setter and Stucchi made two starts; both are true freshmen.
