Volleyball Sophomore Earns League Defensive Player of the Week

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Kat Georgiadis of Santa Clara volleyball was recognized for her play in the Boise State Classic.

Georgiadis was named the West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week after averaging a 6.83 digs per set in the two matches at last week's tournament.

The sophomore libero keyed the Bronco defense, including posting a career-high tying 26 digs in Friday's 3-0 win against Oregon State.

Georgiadis moved into first place in the WCC in digs (4.89 per set) with her performance.
