SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Following a win against Cal State Monterey Bay, Santa Clara women's water polo heads to Michigan to participate in the Wolverine Invitational.

The Broncos (6-4), who have won four of their last five games, defeated the Otters, 10-3, on Saturday, keeping them scoreless for a stretch of more than 22 consecutive minutes of action.

"I thought we played great defense against Cal State Monterey Bay for all four quarters." head coach Keith Wilbur said. "The team was working hard, communicating and had great awareness. I also thought our goalies played very well."

Lydia Dadd had 11 saves in just three quarters of work. Grace Kavanagh and Alexa Grau saw time in the fourth quarter.

The six-team tournament, being held at University of Michigan, kicks off Saturday with the Broncos facing the No. 7-ranked Wolverines at 9:20 a.m. Eastern, in the first of four games over two days.

Santa Clara will also play Iona on Saturday and St. Francis and Long Beach State on Sunday.

"I think we are playing a good mix of teams and it will be a fun challenge," Wilbur said. "Our defense has been a strength the past two weekends, and we look to continue that effort and focus on that end of the pool. Offensively, we are starting to score a lot of different ways, which is great. We want to improve our consistency and efficiency on 6-on-5 opportunities."
