SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics has released a new student rewards program, Ruff Riders Rewards, which is accessible via mobile app through the Apple Store and Google Play.
The Ruff Riders Rewards is a student reward program that awards students for attending Santa Clara athletic events. It is for active Ruff Riders only (sign up here).
Students will be rewarded points based on geographical location. You must "check in" through the app at the athletic events you attend in order to receive points. There will be "extra point" games, which will be worth more points than others. Those games will be identified on the app under the "Events" tab.
Students will reach levels based on lifetime point accumulation. Upon reaching each level, participants will receive rewards such as Santa Clara Athletics shirts, hats, lanyards and more. Students will also have the ability to redeem their points in the "prize store" on the app. Some examples of those prizes include Santa Clara Athletics, sweatshirts, backpacks, a concession stand voucher, a GoPro, and more. Prizes will be added and updated throughout the year.
If active Ruff Riders download the app and attend one of these three events – women's soccer on Sept. 22, women's volleyball on Sept. 27 or men's soccer on Sept. 28 – you will receive a free cell phone ID holder. You must check in at the marketing table at the event to claim your reward.
The women's soccer match on Oct. 7 against Pacific at Stevens Stadium is the first opportunity for students to get the Ruff Riders t-shirt. Students must check in at the game through the app in order to claim their shirt. Students can stay tuned to Ruff Rider social media and their Santa Clara email for additional information regarding t-shirt distribution.
