Nothing compares. Every round at Boulder Ridge is a mystical golf experience.

San Juan Oaks Golf Course

The signature hole at San Juan Oaks has easily the most spectacular tee shot on the course. Standing 150 feet above the green, players can see for miles across the fertile San Juan Valley to the mountain range far in the distance. Many of the bunkers visible from the tee are not in play for the average player's drive. The best play is to the right center of the fairway, where a good drive will catch the downhill side of a designed speed shot adding 15 to 20 yards to the drive, leaving a mid to long iron to the green. Players who fly the green on their approach shot will find a forty foot drop into a creek with only two small bunkers to save the most fortunate.

Ruby Hill Country Club

Ruby Hill Golf Club is in the heart of the Livermore Wine Valley on property that was once the original Ruby Hill Winery.  The original grape-growing property was founded by John Crellin in 1887, with money made in the oyster trade and was named for the bright red soil its vineyards boast. The winery was eventually abandoned, and in 1989 burned, leaving only a few walls standing.

The land then transferred to the Catholic Church and Wente Vineyards. RHGC’s owner, Jim Ghielmetti, was approached in 1985 by a friend and business partner of Jack Nicklaus’ about building a Club in the Bay Area. Mr. Ghielmetti approached the Wente Family and shared his vision for the land. In 1987, the process was started to secure all of the government approvals and move forward with the project. Construction started on Labor Day 1993 and Ruby Hill Golf Club opened its doors in 1996, the first Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Golf Course in Northern California.

Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club

Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club was founded in 1961 by a group of local golfers with the shared vision of a great golf experience for them and their friends. Jack Fleming, an Alistair Mackenzie protégé, was retained to design the outstanding golf course, which has attracted a membership that shares a social synergy and a passion for golf excellence. Coupled with its elite membership the club has maintained traditions for service and facility excellence that have enabled Sharon Heights to achieve their position as a Platinum Club of America, one of the top 100 club communities in the United States.

The Villages Golf and Country Club

You can find the Villages’ spectacular championship golf course on the slopes of the rolling foothills of the beautiful Evergreen district in southeastern San Jose.

This course-one of the finest in northern California-is a par-72 championship course, designed by architect Robert Muir Graves. All eighteen holes are equipped with four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. In addition to the championship 18 hole course, the Villages has a lovely nine-hole, par-3 course, which is ideal for beginners or seasoned golfers who want to improve their games.

La Rinconada Country Club

The golf course at La Rinconada is set among rolling hills with narrow, tree-lined fairways. A shotmaker’s course, the greens are small and undulating and protected by many bunkers. The course features a wide variety of challenging holes, including two long par 3's and several risk/reward short par 4's. Greens and tees are placed close together making the course a joy to walk.

The course was designed by William Jefferson, a protégé of Tom Morris, the nephew of the famous British Open champion of the same name. Jefferson was also influenced by Thomas Bendelow, the designer of the course at Medinah Country Club. It is a truly classic design that will provide you with endless challenges.  The course has been continually updated, while remaining true to its classic roots. The mixed bent grass and poa annua greens are built to USGA specifications, as are the tee boxes. Conditioning of the perennial ryegrass fairways is superb.
