NOTES

  • Santa Clara sends multiple runners to the postseason for the fourth time in program history. Last season Zach Litoff ran the 3,000m steeplechase and became the first Bronco to qualify for the NCAA Championships. He finished 12th in his heat and 20th overall. Alex Scales ran the 800m, Jack Davidson ran the 5,000m, and Christian Raslowsky and Harvey Chilcott ran the 3,000m steeplechase. Davidson ran at 1,500m and 5,000m while Litoff ran in the steeple in the NCAA preliminary meet in 2019; the 2020 event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Joey Berriatua competed in the steeple at the 2018 regional meet. Mary Kriege (5,000m, 10,000m) and Grayson Murphy (3,000m steeple, 5,000m) each qualified for a pair of events in 2016. Kevin Oliver (10,000m – 2013) and Michael Delaurenti (3,000m steeple – 2008) also reached the second season for SCU.
  • Santa Clara has had a number of runners crack the program's top-10 lists this year. The full list for the men can be found here and for the women here.
  • The Broncos have also won several events this season.
  • Zach Litoff took home the 1 Mile title at the Cougar Classic with his 4:08.8. The team of Josh Simboli, DeVon Dupree, and Henry Raymond won in the men's distance medley at the Cougar Classic with a time of 10:08.9. Alex Scales won the 800 at the Portland Invitational in 1:52.9. Ian Kirk won the 1 mile at the Portland Invitational at 4:16.9. Ian Twyman won the 1500 at the East Bay Opener. Josh Simboli won the 3,000 Steeplechase at the East Bay Opener. Zach Litoff won the 5,000 at Oxy Distance Carnival at 14:00.62.
  • JJ Escalera won the women 1 mile at the Portland Invitational at 5:56.5. Maiya Fujiwara won the women 3,000 at the Portland Invitational at 10:21.3. JJ Escalera won the 800 at the East Bay Opener. Hannah Covington won the 1,500 at the East Bay Opener. Tatum Holloway, Gabby Navarro, Sophia Morris, and JJ Escalera won the 4x400 Relay at the East Bay Opener. Dominic Baciocco won the 3,000 Steeplechase at the Cal Poly Invitational. JJ Escalera won the 1,500 at the Johnny Mathis Invitational. Maya Fujiwara won the 3,000 Steeplechase at the Johnny Mathis Invitational. Alex Scales won the 800 at the Oxy Invitational. Zach Litoff won the 1500 at the West Coast Last Chance Meet. Nicholas Russell won the 10000 at the West Coast Last Chance Meet. Max Nelson won the 3000s at the West Coast Last Chance Meet. Maiya Fujiwara won the 3000 at the West Coast Last Chance Meet.
  • The Broncos finished the regular season at the West Coast Last Chance Meet on May 15.
