Season Concludes for Track & Field With Three at NCAA West Prelims

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three Santa Clara track & field runners had their season come to an end at the NCAA West Preliminary Meet.

Alex Scales ran in the 800m first round and Nicholas Russel in the 10,000m semifinals on Wednesday with Zach Litoff competing in the 3000 steeplechase quarterfinals on Friday.

"I am extremely proud of Alex, Nicky, and Zach for making it to round one. Having representation at this meet in back-to-back years with multiple athletes is just the beginning for our program. The guys all faced some adversity in their races and I'm so proud of how they handled it. We will take a break and begin our push to the cross country postseason soon."
