Meet the Newest Members of Men's Cross Country/Track & Field

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's cross country/track & field will welcome 10 new runners for the upcoming seasons. There will be seven freshmen, two undergraduate transfers, and one graduate transfer.

"Owen comes from one of the best high school programs in Colorado and the nation at Mountain Vista. He had a stellar junior cross country and track campaign, but missed all of his senior year dealing with a bad hamstring. We will bring him along slowly, but in time I think he can be a major player for us."

"Alex is a former team captain at Duke and still has their school record for the 3000m steeplechase event. He finished three spots behind Jack Davidson at the 2020 NCAA Championships, showing great aerobic strength. He nearly won the 2020 ACC steeplechase title, exhibiting strength and athleticism. Alex anchored Duke to a third place finish in the DMR with a 4:02 split at the 2021 ACC Indoor Championships, showing his speed. He is a true leader who is going to be able to step right in and help our team to new heights."
