NOTES

  • After having four-straight games postponed due to Covid-19, Santa Clara is returning to the court for the first time since Dec. 21. The Broncos will open WCC play on the road against Pacific on Wednesday, Jan. 12, in a rescheduled date of what was initially supposed to be both teams' conference-opener on Dec. 30.

  • Well-rested and eager to return to the hardwood, Santa Clara is ready to begin their WCC slate after posting a 10-5 mark in nonconference play. Their 10 wins are the most a Bronco team has tallied in nonconference play since the 2012-13 when SCU won 11 en route to eventually winning the 2013 CBI Tournament (their last postseason appearance).

  • The next Santa Clara victory will be No. 500 for Herb Sendek's career.
  • Pacific currently finds themselves at the back of the WCC standings after dropping their first conference game of the year at BYU 73-51 and finishing with a 5-9 mark in nonconference play. The Tigers secured their last win on Dec. 14 over UC Santa Barbara (80-71).

  • Santa Clara is currently 9-0 in games in which they score at least 79 points. In their five losses, the Broncos were held to 52, 64, 75, 60 and 60 points, respectively.

  • Jalen Williams is currently the WCC's leading scorer at 18.8 points per game while Keshawn Justice continues to hold on to the top spot as the conference's leader in double-doubles with six. Both players had big nights in the Broncos' last outing on the road against San Jose State will Williams securing his seventh 20-point game of the year and Justice finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds for double-double No. 6.
