After having four-straight games postponed due to Covid-19, Santa Clara is returning to the court for the first time since Dec. 21. The Broncos will open WCC play on the road against Pacific on Wednesday, Jan. 12, in a rescheduled date of what was initially supposed to be both teams' conference-opener on Dec. 30.

Well-rested and eager to return to the hardwood, Santa Clara is ready to begin their WCC slate after posting a 10-5 mark in nonconference play. Their 10 wins are the most a Bronco team has tallied in nonconference play since the 2012-13 when SCU won 11 en route to eventually winning the 2013 CBI Tournament (their last postseason appearance).
- The next Santa Clara victory will be No. 500 for Herb Sendek's career.

Pacific currently finds themselves at the back of the WCC standings after dropping their first conference game of the year at BYU 73-51 and finishing with a 5-9 mark in nonconference play. The Tigers secured their last win on Dec. 14 over UC Santa Barbara (80-71).

Santa Clara is currently 9-0 in games in which they score at least 79 points. In their five losses, the Broncos were held to 52, 64, 75, 60 and 60 points, respectively.
- Jalen Williams is currently the WCC's leading scorer at 18.8 points per game while Keshawn Justice continues to hold on to the top spot as the conference's leader in double-doubles with six. Both players had big nights in the Broncos' last outing on the road against San Jose State will Williams securing his seventh 20-point game of the year and Justice finishing with 15 points and 13 rebounds for double-double No. 6.
