NOTES

  • Santa Clara is in the home stretch with just two games remaining in the regular season. The Broncos will head to Malibu on Thursday for their final road game against Pepperdine before making the quick turnaround to host Portland as part of senior night on Saturday.

  • At 8-5 and 18-10 overall, the Broncos are currently fourth in the WCC Standings. Santa Clara is coming off a tough loss on the road against No. 1 Gonzaga. SCU hung around for much of the game before ultimately falling 81-69 despite a 27-pt effort from PJ Pipes

  • Santa Clara is 14th nationally in field goal percentage (48.5) and is one of just seven teams in the nation that is shooting 48.5 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from 3-point range.

  • The Broncos are one of just three teams in the league (Gonzaga and Saint Mary's) with four players averaging 11.0 ppg or better in conference play.

  • Santa Clara's 18 wins are the second-most of the Herb Sendek era

  • Santa Clara has won eight of their last 10 games with the lone losses coming at the hands of San Francisco (74-58) and against No. 1 Gonzaga on the road (81-69). The Broncos have shot 48.9 percent from the floor and are averaging 76.7 points during the stretch.  Four individuals are averaging 10.0 ppg or better - Josip Vrankic (15.8), Jalen Williams (15.6), PJ Pipes (13.3) and Keshawn Justice (10.7).

  • Jalen Williams needs just five points to become the first player since 2017-18 to score 500 or more in season (KJ Feagin). He also needs just 46 points to reach 1,000 for his career.
