Men's Golf Finish Tied for 10th at the Saint Mary's Invitational

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf capped off the fall by finishing in a tie for 10th place at the Saint Mary's Invitational.

The Broncos carded a 5-over-par 289 in Wednesday's final round and were tied with Washington State and San Diego at 12-over 864 in the three-day event that was held at Poppy Hills Golf Club, which played at 7,002 yards.

Oregon claimed the title in the 19-team tournament with a score of 19-under 833, two shots ahead of runner-up Stanford.

Konrad Brauckmeyer was the top finisher for the Broncos. He was tied for 28th at 1-over-par 214 (69-71-74).

Santa Clara's Jack Avrit and Oscar Zimmerman were among seven players tied for 39th at 3-over 216. Avrit had rounds of 64-76-76 and Zimmerman 72-73-71.

Quim Vidal Mora of Nevada held on to his second-round lead and took top medalist honors at 11-under 202. Mitchell Hoey of the host Gaels was second at 8-under 205.

Berk Harvey was next highest finisher for the Broncos. He was tied for 66th at 8-over 221 (75-71-71).

Nolan Forsman was the fifth member of the team. He was 93rd at 16-over 229 (76-80-73).

NEXT UP

The Broncos will have a long break before their next tournament. They will open the spring on Jan. 24 at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Arizona.
