MARICOPA, Ariz. - Today, Viraj Garewal demonstrated his talent and resilience as he led the Broncos in wrapping up play at the National Golf Invitational.

Garewal (68-74-71--213) came back from an over-par round yesterday to shoot his second round under-par of the tournament with a 1-under 71 today. His card in the Final Round lacked a double bogey as he traded birdies and bogeys throughout the round. Where Garewal showed his strengths the most was on the par-5s, tying for 4th in scoring on the longer holes at 6-under cumulatively. He ended up tying for 7th place at 3-under overall to end his first year as a Bronco and Graduate Student after transferring from Davidson College.

Nolan Forsman (75-74-76--225) finished his tournament with a 4-over 76 today, placing him in solo 50th place at 9-over. His Final Round did not include a birdie but included an eagle as Forsman made a three on the par-5 No. 16. Alex Conley (70-76-80--226) fell 18 spots in the individual rankings today as he struggled in the Final Round, recording an 8-over 80 to place T51st at 10-over.

Calder Overfelt (76-76-78--230) had identical nines today as he went 3-over on the front nine and back nine to shoot a 6-over 78, two shots worse than his two rounds prior. The three rounds would be enough for a T57th finish at 14-over. Jolo Magcalayo replaced Eugenio Bernardi today in the starting lineup and went on to shoot a 4-over 76, which included three birdies and contributed to the team total for the day.

Santa Clara (289-300-301--890) will be leaving Nevada with a T12th finish with Valparaiso in the first playing of the National Golf Invitational. One area that the Broncos succeeded in was making eagles this tournament as they tied for 2nd with 3 total. Texas State maintained its position today despite an over-par final day to win the tournament by one shot at 7-under overall. Finally, Ball State's Kash Bellar shot an even-par 72 today en route to earning medalist honors.
