SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara defender Jide Ogunbiyi received his second honor of the season as he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) All-Far West third team, it was announced by the organization. It is Ogunbiyi's second honor from the NSCAA.
Ogunbiyi was once again a fixture in the Broncos defense and started in 14 of the Broncos 20 contests. He ends his collegiate career with 30 career points on 11 goals and eight assists. The Gwynedd, Pa., native received his fourth West Coast Conference honor last month as he was named to the All-WCC first team. Last season, after helping the Broncos to a NCAA third round appearance and the WCC title, Ogunbiyi received NSCAA All-Far West Second Team honors.
The Broncos finished the season with a 4-9-7 overall record and a 2-5-5 WCC mark.
