Santa Clara, Calif. - The Bronco men's tennis team played 13 singles matches in ITA Northwest Regional Tournament at Stanford University on Fri., Oct.15. The Broncos started off well with five singles victories in the Round of 128. Last year's No. 1 singles player, Kyle Dandan and the blue chip recruit freshman John Lamble had a great start in the singles tournament. Each player won two matches to proceed to Round 32. 

Dandan won comfortably against Tomasz Kryzskowski from University of the Pacific (6-2, 6-3) and then Tommie Murphy from California (6-2, 6-2).

Lamble had the only victory against a seeded player for the Broncos. He had a solid game against Bryan Thorp from the WCC rival, University of Portland (7-5, 6-0).

They are both going to play against seeded players from No. 9 Stanford on Saturday afternoon and the matches are expected to be exciting.

Also winning first round matches were Nicholas Vinel, Tom Pham and Maxime Armengaud.

ITA men's singles consolation and doubles matches will begin on Saturday.
