SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The West Coast Conference named Santa Clara men's tennis freshman Vasileios Iliopoulos to the 2017 WCC Men's Tennis All-Tournament team for his performance on court five at the conference championships at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California.
Iliopoulos, who hails from Athens, Greece, went 2-0 on court five for the Broncos at the 2017 WCC Tournament. He contributed to the No. 6 seed Broncos upsetting the No. 3 seed BYU Cougars (4-2) with his 6-2, 6-2 win on court five against Aidan Carrazedo. Iliopoulos then won 6-4, 6-1 against Jack Van Slyke of No. 2 seed Pepperdine. He recorded the lone singles win for the Broncos in the semifinal round.
