SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Vasileios Iliopoulos and Dominic Barretto closed out their Bronco careers with a victory to help Santa Clara men's tennis to a 5-2 win over San Francisco in Saturday's season finale.

With the win, Santa Clara finished the season with a winning record at 8-7 and evened its conference record at 4-4.

Prior to the match there was a presentation for the two outgoing graduate students, Iliopoulos and Barretto, as part of Senior Day celebration.

The Broncos sprinted out of the gates in doubles action as Barretto teamed up with Guillaum Dalmasso to help secure the doubles point.  Playing on court two, the Broncos duo took care of Nitzan Ricklis and Johan Garpered 6-3.  Prior to that, Mann Shah and Santiago Hinojosa handled Phuc Huyn and Mitch Johnson 6-3 for the first doubles win.  

San Francisco (7-9, 2-6) momentarily halted the Broncos momentum when Johnson took the first singles match with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Hinojosa to knot the team score at 1-all.

However, the Broncos reeled off three-straight wins including the match clincher by Dalmasso.

Barretto picked up the first singles win defeating Ricklis 6-4, 6-3 atop the lineup.  For Barretto, it was his eighth win in the last 10 singles matches.

Iliopoulos gave the Broncos a 3-1 edge with his straight set victory over David Woodland 6-1, 6-4 on court six.

The match clincher by Dalmasso came on court four when he took down Ori Maior 7-5, 6-3.
