Men’s Tennis Announces 2021-22 Schedule

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis released its 2021-22 schedule on Thursday that features 12 home contests and four dual matches against teams that qualified for the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

The Broncos will potentially participate in five fall tournaments starting with the season opening Aggie Invitational (Oct. 1–3) in Davis, California.  Overlapping with that tournament is the All-American Championships (Oct. 2–10) in Tulsa, Oklahoma for select players on the team.  Next is the USTA/ITA Regional Championships (Oct. 13-17) followed by the Super Regionals (Oct. 22-25) for those who advance out of the regionals.  The fall season wraps up at the Pacific Invitational (Nov. 5-7).

In the spring, Santa Clara will compete in 23 dual matches including 12 of them at the Degheri Tennis Center where they are 37-8 over the last five seasons.

The spring slate kicks off on Jan. 22, 2022 with a pair of home matches against UC Santa Cruz and Holy Names.

The Broncos face all four 2021 NCAA Tournament qualifiers on the road.  They play New Mexico on the road (Feb. 11), Grand Canyon (Feb. 12) at a neutral site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at UC Santa Barbara (March 5) and at Pepperdine (April 23).

The nine match West Coast Conference schedule will be played consecutively starting at home against Saint Mary's (March 25) and Pacific (March 26).   Matches against BYU (April 9) and San Diego (April 10) round out the conference home schedule.

Santa Clara will play five WCC contest on the road including the final three regular season matches finishing with Loyola Marymount (April 24).
