Three Broncos Named Men’s Tennis All-WCC

West Coast Conference Release

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Three Santa Clara men's tennis players garnered All-West Coast Conference honors, the league office announced on Tuesday, just ahead of the start of the WCC Championships.

Senior Arthur Neuhaus was named to the second team in both singles and doubles with junior Mann Shah joining him on the doubles second team.  Sophomore Guillaume Dalmasso earned singles second team recognition.

The all-conference voting and major awards were voted on by the 10 conference head coaches.

Neuhaus led the team with five singles victories in conference play, finishing with four-straight wins all at the No. 2 spot in the lineup.  The Courtetelle, Switzerland native teamed up with Shah to go 2-3 in doubles action in league play, topping the team in wins.  The duo played all their matches atop the doubles lineup.

Neuhaus was named All-WCC second team doubles last season and it is his first recognition for singles.

It is Shah's first doubles honor after earning All-WCC singles honorable mention last season.

Dalmasso was tied for second on the team with four conference singles wins going 4-4, all played at the No. 1 spot.  This is the first conference honor for Dalmasso.

The Broncos finished the regular season with a 10-11 overall record including 5-4 in league play.  As the fifth seed, they play in the opening round of the WCC Tournament on Thursday against fourth-seed Gonzaga.

San Diego swept the major honors as August Holmgren was named WCC Player of the Year for the second-straight year.  Iiro Vasa was named Freshman of the Year and head coach Ryan Keckley was named Coach of the Year.
