Men's Water Polo Opens Season With San Jose State On Saturday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo is ready to dive head first into their 2022 season, which kicks off this Saturday against San Jose State in Saratoga, Calif. on the campus of West Valley College. The Broncos will also play against host-West Valley in an exhibition.

NOTES
• Santa Clara is led by head coach Keith Wilbur, entering his 21st season at the helm of the program.
• The Broncos return 17 players that saw the stat sheet in the 2021 season, including the top two goal scorers in Zach Fales (44) and Cody Ferguson (41), both of whom earned all-conference honors at season's end. 
• There are a total of seven newcomers on the roster this season. 
• Redshirt junior goalkeeper Chase Zamborelli will be tasked with taking on keeper duties again this fall after splitting time in the net with Sean Tehaney last season.
