OAKLAND, Calif. - It was yet another strong year in the classroom for Santa Clara men's water polo with a total of 13 Broncos earning recognition for their academic prowess by earning a spot on the 2022 Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) Men's All-Academic Team.
Billy Barry, Ford Eldredge, Zach Fales, Cody Ferguson, Kyto Fraley, Max Hendrickson, Reese Jenican, Dominick Kirk, Michael Kreienkamp, Chase Raisin, Matt Somers, Bennett Stafford and Chase Zamborelli each earned a spot on the prestigious team.
The Broncos tied with Biola for the second-most representatives among the nine-team league. California Baptist led the conference's nine programs with 16 student-athletes recognized.
To be eligible for WWPA All-Academic honors, a player must have competed in at least 50 percent of his team's contests during the current season, carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, be classified as a full-time student for all terms of attendance, and have completed a minimum of one semester or two quarters at his institution.
