  • Title:
    Assistant Coach
  • Year:
    Third Season at SCU

The 2011-12 seasons marks Phil Vogt's third as a volunteer assistant coach with Santa Clara University water polo. Vogt helped Broncos head coach Keith Wilbur and assistant coach Luke Oda guide the men to a second-consecutive third-place finish at the WWPA Championships in 2010-11, hosted for the first time at Santa Clara, courtesy of the program's first-ever victory over the UCSD Tritons.

Santa Clara finished the 2010-11 season with a 19-15 record and two notable wins: the victory over the Tritons and a 12-10 win over then-No. 9 Pepperdine, the Broncos' second-ever win over an MPSF team.  Santa Clara also had four players receive All-WWPA awards: Stephen Hobbs (first team), James Case (second team), Michael Wishart (third team), and Tucker Carlson (all-freshman).

Vogt was an All-America player at Cal-Berkeley and owns a local business in the San Mateo area.
