Women's Golf Climbs Five Spots In Final Round To Finish 6th At Valley Invitational

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf saved their best round for last, carding the lowest team score of the day of 5-over 293 to climb five spots in the final round and finish in sixth at 67-over 931 at the Valley Invitational on Tuesday.

The Broncos, who entered the final round in 11th place, received a huge bump in the standings thanks to some great individual play, most notably from freshman Borina Sutikto. The fremont native climbed 21 spots, tied for the largest jump of any player in the field, after carding a 3-under 69, tied for the lowest round of young career. Sutikto finished in a tie for 12th at 11-over 75-83-69--227.
