MARICOPA, Ariz. - Sophomore Borina Sutikto (71-77-72--220) came back after the second round on Day One to shoot an even-par 72 which tied for the best round of the day and raised her 12 spots up as she finished in a tie for 5th. As a team, the Broncos improved on their second round overall score as well to place 9th out of 20 teams.

Sutiko's Final Round may not have started the way she wanted as took a bogey on her first hole of the day, the par-5 7th, but it ended the right way as she birdied the par-3 6th and just had another bogey and birdie in between. Also, over the three rounds, she recorded eight birdies and only two double bogeys en route to her best finish of the season as she recorded a cumulative score of 5-over 220.

Coming in with a score of 16-over 232 and placing in a tie for 39th were both Claire Choi (77-79-76--232) and Inara Sharma (81-72-79--232). Choi jumped up 16 spots in the individual ranks with a solid Final Round while Sharma had her low round in Round 2 which included just three birdies and three bogeys for an even-par 72. Lauren Shew (77-83-76--236) finished at T60th and found her best round of the tournament today as she shot a 4-over 76 to come in with a 20-over 236. Audrey Brust (78-86-83--247) tied for 89th and rose seven spots today after improving on her second round score.

The Broncos were able to brace into the top half of teams today as they jumped three spots in the team rankings, going 303-311-303--917 and 15-over par overall. Sacramento State claimed the team title with a score of 18-over 885 and produced the individual champion as well as Jennifer Koga went 67-75-75 to end up with a 1-over 217 cumulative score. A home event is next up for the Broncos as they will host the Silicon Valley Showcase next week.
