Broncos To Host Silicon Valley Showcase April 10-11

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf is eager and excited to host their very own tournament this upcoming Monday and Tuesday, April 10-11. The Broncos will host the inaugural Silicon Valley Showcase presented by SK Hynix at the beautiful Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, Calif. - an event that will feature nine teams and a total of 54 talented student-athletes playing for the championship title. 

"We are so excited to be putting on this incredible event," head coach Krystal Kelly said. "Our staff and the staff at Green Hills have worked so incredibly hard to get ready for this tournament, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their help in achieving what should prove to be an amazing event. We have an awesome tournament committee and they have been so instrumental in getting this tournament going. We are ready to go and hope that Bronco Nation will be able to come out in full force to see it all in person!" 

The action is set to get underway at 8:30 a.m. PT Monday morning with all teams teeing off on a shotgun start on the par-71, 6,091 yard course. The first two rounds (36 holes) will be played Monday with the final round (18 holes) set for Tuesday, also an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. 

Stanford, Pepperdine, Gonzaga, Nevada, Long Beach State, Seattle, UC Irvine and Wyoming will join the Broncos to make up the field. 

TICKET AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Admission to the Silicon Valley Showcase is free, however ticket reservations are required as spots are limited. Please bring adequate water along with you. PARKING INFORMATION

Parking will be limited and located off-site with a shuttle service provided beginning at 6:30 a.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m. The parking lot is located at the northwest corner of Richmond Ave. and Magnolia Dr. (west of the Living Spaces store). Look for signs for "Shuttle Pick Up". Shuttles will run every 15-20 minutes.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Located in Millbrae, Green Hills was designed and build by world-famous golf course architect, Dr. Alister MacKenzie, and features breathtaking views of the sun-warmed hills between the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. Green Hills has served as a U.S. Open Qualifying site, has hosted the MacKenzie Cup as well as a number of other USGA and NCGA events. The Silicon Valley Showcase will be set up for a par-71, 6,091 course.
