KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kelsey Turnbow has been named one of three finalists for the 2021 Women's MAC Hermann Trophy. The other finalists are Jaelin Howell of Florida State, last year's winner, and Mikayla Colohan of BYU. The Broncos have had two previos winners: Mandy Clemens in 1999 and Aly Wagner in 2002.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. This year's winners will be announced on Jan. 7, 2022 at the MAC Hermann Trophy Banquet at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Turnbow led Santa Clara in goals (11), assists (12), and points (34). She also had a team-leading five game-winning goals, including in the national quarterfinals at Duke. The senior was named First Team All-West Region and All-WCC for the fifth time this season while also taking home First Team All-America honors.
She finished her Santa Clara career in fifth place all-time at Santa Clara with 56 goals and 150 points. Her 38 assists are tied for fourth. She is one of just six Broncos to reach the 25 goal-25 assist plateau.
Her play the last two season helped the Broncos to back-to-back College Cup appearances and the 2020 National Championship.
