LAST MEET

Santa Clara raced for the first time in more than three weeks March 31-April 1 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, and turned in several positive results. Berriatua ran the fastest outdoor 5000m in program history with a 14:27.59 at Cox Stadium and came within one second of Ruegg's school record.

The Broncos competed in eight events across five distances at what Montoro called the unofficial start to the team's outdoor season. Jack Davidson's 14:30.58 at 5000m also cracked Santa Clara's Top 10 list. That mark stands as the fifth-fastest time overall and third-fastest outdoor time by a Bronco runner.

Lagerstrom came through with his best marks at 800m (1:56.03) and 1500m (4:01.53) during his debut season on the track. Eikelberner also doubled up at those distances and had a 2:24.41 at 800m to take more than five seconds off her first 800 of the season at the Kim Duyst Invitational March 3.
