SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara track & field gets the busiest stretch of its 2018 season under way this weekend. The Broncos will hone in on middle distances Saturday at the Woody Wilson Classic to kick off a span of five straight weeks with a meet on the schedule.
SCU runners are set to race at 800 and 1,500 meters at Woody Wilson Track as part of the UC Davis-hosted event.

Santa Clara's record-breaking season continued on Friday, March 30 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. Joey Berriatua set the program record with a 9:00.50 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Chabot College. His mark comes in at more than six seconds below Michael Delaurenti's 9:06.84 from the 2008 Brutus Hamilton Invitational.
The Broncos had a large contingent of runners at the carnival on Friday and Saturday and sent Jack Davidson to Cobb Track and Angell Field for the 1,500-meter run at the Stanford Invitational on Friday.
