HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, Calif.… played both baseball and football for Bellarmine… high school baseball team made it to the Central Coast Section semi-finals in his senior season and the section finals in his junior season… batted .452 his senior season… football team won West Catholic Athletic League titles, two CCS titles, and the state finals in 2010…hit 3 HR senior season… was named first-team all-league and first-team all-section in baseball and honorable mention in Football….played club baseball for the California Smoke.

PERSONAL: Son of Harold and Carla DeMerritt… has two younger brothers, Trevor and Connor… enjoys camping, boating, and snowboarding… majoring in Business.
