Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Dawson Brigman
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the fifth member of its incoming recruiting class for the 2018-19 season, Dawson Brigman.  The middle infielder currently attends Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California, coached by John Diatte.  Brigman will captain the team in his senior year.

"I chose Santa Clara for an opportunity to get a great education and a chance to take my game to the professional level," said Brigman.

The three-time letter winner has played second, third, shortstop and left field for the Warriors but projects to play shortstop at Santa Clara.  Brigman, who bats and throws right-handed, was named honorable mention West Catholic Athletic League his junior season.

"Dawson is a local player that is a premier defensive shortstop that's tooled beyond belief with his strength and speed.  He has a hockey background and has been focusing on baseball the last couple of years.  He should compete for the starting shortstop position from day one at Santa Clara.  We are really looking forward to building around him," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.

Brigman comes from a family of baseball players with three siblings.  His oldest brother, Bryson, plays in the minor leagues with the Seattle Mariners organization while older brother Keenan plays at UC-San Diego.

Our next future Bronco, Brendan Ecklebarger, will be announced later in the week.
