SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Fallou Ndoye will join the Santa Clara men's basketball program for the 2018-19 season.
The native of Taif, Senegal, joins the Broncos as a graduate transfer from CSU Bakersfield where he spent nearly three seasons. During 2017-18, he averaged 2.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game.
Ndoye spent the first two-plus seasons of his collegiate career at Mississippi State. He transferred to CSU Bakersfield midway through 2015-16.
He has played in 89 career games, including 18 starts.
"The Bronco Nation welcomes Fallou, a 6-10 center, who makes his mark on defense, the post, and on the glass," head coach Herb Sendek said. "We are excited to add his experience and winning ways."
During 2016-17, Ndoye's first season with the Roadrunners, the team went 25-10 and reached the semifinals of the National Invitational Tournament.
Ndoye is the eighth new player for the Broncos, joining four other spring additions and three signees from the fall.
Guglielmo [Willie] Caruso (Naples, Italy), who signed last week, is one of five true freshmen in the recruiting class. Juan Ducasse (Montevideo, Uruguay), Keshawn Justice (Madison, Wisc.) and Trey Wertz (Charlotte, N.C.) inked national letters of intent in the fall, and Zeke Richards (Oak Park, Calif.) signed in the spring.
DJ Mitchell, a 6-foot-8 forward who played the last two years at Wake Forest, and Josh Martin, a 6-foot-7 forward from Cal Poly, are two other transfers.
Mitchell will sit out 2018-19 and Martin is a graduate transfer.
