Full IRA Release
BOSTON, Mass. – Santa Clara men's rowing had five oarsmen named to the IRA All-Academic Team on Friday. A total of 336 student-athletes from 32 member institutions were recognized.
To be eligible for recognition a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher, completed one full year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), be an institutional letter winner and also competed at the 2017 IRA National Championship Regatta.
The five Broncos named were Karlsen Termini, Carsten Beckwith-Strike, Drew Del Toro, Ian Crutchlow, and Thatcher Bouck.
It was the third honor for Crutchlow and the second for Bouck and Del Toro.
The Varsity 8 boat wrapped-up competition at the Henley Royal Regatta in England earlier in the day.
