Men's Soccer Travels to Cal State Fullerton Friday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Heading on the road for the first time this season, Santa Clara men's soccer plays at Cal State Fullerton Friday at 7 p.m.

The Broncos opened the season by falling to No. 6 Maryland and West Virginia at home over the weekend.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 13-9-2 all-time against Fullerton with the first meeting coming in 1972. Last year the Broncos beat the Titans 2-1 at UNLV's Johann Memorial Classic. In 2015, Santa Clara went to Fullerton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament and came away with a 3-0 win.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (0-2) has outshot its opponents 27-15 and has put 11 shots on goal while allowing 10.

Brandon Gillingham and Valdemar Andersen have each scored one goal. Four Broncos have attempted four shots with each putting two on target. Gillingham has put two of his three shots on target as well.

Dakota Havlick and Seamus Hudnut have made one start apiece in net. Havlick made three saves against Maryland and Hudnut made two against West Virginia.

THE TITANS
Cal State Fullerton (1-1) fell at No. 5 Clemson in the season-opener but came back with a 1-0 double overtime win at Wofford on Sunday. The Titans have outshot their opponents 30-16 and 7-4 in shots on goal.

Samuel Goni scored the only goal of the season and Diego Sanchez picked up the assist. Alex Juarez has attempted a team-best five shots with Sanchez trying four and putting one on goal. Ross McPhie has taken three shots and put two on frame.

Paul-Andre Guerin has allowed two goals for a 0.91 GAA and has two saves for a .500 save percentage with one shutout.
