Women's Soccer Returns to Stevens Stadium Friday Against San Francisco

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Riding a four-game winning streak, Santa Clara women's soccer returns home to face San Francisco Friday at 5 p.m. The game was originally schedule for Sunday at 1 p.m. but was moved last week

The Broncos beat Saint Mary's 6-1 on Friday and followed it up with a 3-0 win at Pacific on Sunday.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 31-1-1 all-time against San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1985. Last year the Broncos beat the Dons 2-1 in San Francisco.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (10-6-1, 5-1 WCC) leads the WCC and is 24th in the nation with 37 goals scored. The Broncos have outscored their opponents 37-27 while putting 124 of their 239 shots on goal.

Kelsey Turnbow is tied for second in the conference with nine goals and leads Santa Clara with 22 points while trying for the team lead with four assists. Julie Doyle is tied for fourth in the league with eight goals and has added three assists. Maddy Gonzalez has six goals and three assists while Maria Sanchez is tied with Turnbow with four assists. Four other Broncos have multiple goals and two more have one each.

Melissa Lowder has appeared in 12 games and has two shutouts. She has allowed 19 goals for a 1.65 GAA with 54 saves for a .740 save percentage. Courtney Ogren has played in six matches and allowed eight goals for a 1.40 GAA. She has made 17 saves and has a .680 save percentage with one shutout.

THE DONS
San Francisco (6-9-2, 2-4 WCC) has won two of three after losing four in a row. The Dons have been outscored on the year 38-21 and outshot 279-229.

Sonja Giraud leads the team with seven goals and 16 points and is tied with Samantha Jehnings for the team lead with two assists. Jehnings is second on the team with six goals and 14 points. Miciah Madison has scored four goals and four other Dons have one goal apiece.

Olivia Camera has played every minute in goal and has allowed 38 goals for a 2.09 GAA. She has 107 saves for a .738 save percentage and two shutouts.

Parking: For weekday matches, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to kickoff. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located adjacent to Stevens Stadium on Palm Drive.
