Road Trip Continues Friday at Cal for Men's Soccer

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer continues its four-game road trip Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Cal.

Last week, the Broncos fell at Seattle and at Washington. Against the Redhawks the Broncos came back to tie the score twice and against the Huskies mounted a late-game comeback effort that came up just short.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 13-30-8 all-time against Cal with the first meeting coming in 1967. The last meeting was a 2-1 Bronco win at Stevens Stadium in 2015. The last meeting in Berkley came in 2013 with the Bears winning 1-0 in overtime.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (0-7) has gotten goals from six different players this season. Carlos Delgadillo, Valdemar Andersen, and Satoshi Chaffin have each scored twice while Miles Robinson, Brandon Gillingham, and Nate Shue have scored once apiece. Robinson leads the team with two assists and Andres Jimenez and Jonathan Jarrett have one.

Henning Jolivet has started the last four games in net for the Broncos. He has made 11 saves. Aran O'Brien played the final 82 minutes at Washington due to an injury to Jolivet. O'Brien has picked up 10 saves. Seamus Hudnut and Dakota Havlick have both started games as well.

THE BEARS
Cal (4-2) has won three in a row after starting the season 1-2. The Bears have picked up wins over both Portland and San Francisco.

Jose Carerra-Garcia leads the team with seven points and three assists and is second with two goals. Shinya Kadono has scored a team-high three goals while Simon Lekressner has and Spencer Held have each scored a goal. Ugo Rebecchini is second with two assists.

Drake Callender has allowed seven goals and has a 1.14 GAA. He has 29 saves for a .806 save percentage while registering two shutouts.
