The Santa Clara University athletics department had three Bronco teams honored by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as recipients of the organization's Public Recognition Awards for academic achievement.
Redshirt freshman Erin McCarthy broke her second school record in her last two races at Sac State on May 8. McCarthy who erased the 1500 mark at Cal two weeks ago now tops the 800 list running 2:14.86 to win her very competitive heat.

The Santa Clara list was highlighted by WCC champion and All-American Stephanie Wilson (cross country) and WCC Defensive Player of the Year Jordan Angeli (women's soccer).
Junior Stephanie Wilson made school history this past November by becoming Santa Clara's first NCAA Cross Country All-American. In addition to cross country, Wilson is also a member of the Bronco track team and is looking forward to a great spring season.
