Brittany Flath, former Santa Clara University women's soccer player, is in her first year as the academic advisor for student-athletes. Flath (formerly, Klein) began at Santa Clara as a student-athlete academic advisor intern in May 2015 . Flath graduated in 2008 as a soccer stand-out with a B.S. in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her M. Ed. in High Education from Abilene Christian University.

As an academic advisor, Flath provides academic advising and mentoring to student-athletes, while monitoring their NCAA eligibility.

Flath attribute's her passion towards athletics, academics, and mentoring in large part due to her holistic experience at SCU, and has had unique experience and development in each aspect since her collegiate experience.

Flath is a head soccer coach for the Mountain View-Los Altos Soccer club, where she encourages and challenges her teams to grow in their individual character and soccer ability, and collectively as a group.  Prior to committing to college-level student services, she pursued Biblical studies and service in southern California, while continuing to coach youth soccer in the local community.

Flath began her professional soccer experience in 2009 with the Chicago Red Stars, and was named to the WPS All-Star team. In 2010 she played for the Washington Freedom. Flath was named the Pacific Player of the Year for the Orange County Waves in the WPSL and the Waves won the championship in 2011.  She was a consistent member of the youth National teams, culminating with a Nordic Cup Championship with the U23 National Team in 2008. She was also a part of the U.S. Women's National Team pool in 2009.

In college Flath was a two-time team captain and voted the most inspirational and MVP by teammates. She was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Flath's husband Michael played football at Texas and won a national championship in 2005. They currently live in Palo Alto.
