Sarah Hebel was promoted to assistant athletic director, external relations in September 2019. She is in her sixth year at Santa Clara after serving as manager of gameday promotions for the previous four years.
Hebel had previously been at Pacific Lutheran University where she served as the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator for two years in their athletic department. Prior to her time at Pacific Lutheran, Hebel interned at the Sonoma Raceway and with the San Francisco Giants in a media relations role. She had also spent time with the Giants as a Luxury Suite Attendant and as a member of the fan interactive promotions team, the Orange and Black Attack. During the remodel of UC Berkeley’s Memorial Stadium, Hebel worked as a fan experience game day intern while AT&T Park hosted Cal Bears Football during the 2011 season.
In summer 2010, Hebel worked with the San Luis Obispo Blues of the California Collegiate Summer League where she held the role of Sports Information Director. Prior to that, she spent time with the Oakland Athletics interning in the Community Relations department.
Hebel graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she was an active member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. In 2012, she received her Masters in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. In her free time, Hebel enjoys attending sporting events, especially San Francisco Giants games, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her chocolate lab Crash.
