Steven Williams joined the Santa Clara University athletic training staff in August of 2010 and has served as the primary medical contact for Bronco women’s basketball, men’s soccer and both cross country programs.

During his extended tenure at SCU, Williams has overseen a number of administrative responsibilities, including physician scheduling, medical billing and prescription inventory. He has worked closely with the West Coast Conference, serving as the league’s host athletic trainer for the 2011 WCC Golf Championships. In all, Williams has assisted in the treatment of over 400 student-athletes at SCU, spanning 19 different sports.

Williams will be receiving his Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Santa Clara in December of 2012. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Jose State University in May of 2010, where he was honored as a Dean’s Scholar.

Along with gaining status as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) shortly after his graduation from SJSU, his professional credentials also include certification in Technique Gavilan, which is a form of instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation.

A San Jose native, Williams lives in the area with his wife, Annie.
