Drew Zamora is in his second year as assistant athletic director for external relations at Santa Clara.
Zamora arrived from Syracuse University in October, 2015, where he was responsible for the designing, developing and implementing of the promotional programs for all sports.
At Syracuse, Zamora coordinated and executed game day promotional efforts, as well as the development of creative and internet campaigns for tickets sales, media buys, online merchandise store and advertisements.
He also assisted in the supervision of student marketing staff and coordinated Syracuse Athletics’ presence at special events including the New York State Fair, Taste of Syracuse, Fan Fest and the pre-game Quad Family Fun Zone.
Zamora arrived at Syracuse in October, 2014, from Arizona State where he was the marketing and game experience coordinator for volleyball, women’s gymnastics and softball programs from November 2012 to June 2014.
While with the Sun Devils, he assisted with gameday experience efforts for the football and men’s basketball programs and negotiated marketing trade with area corporations and businesses.
Zamora has helped coordinate the marketing and operation of several large events, including the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regional, the 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, the 2013 Pac-12 Football Championship and the Men’s Basketball NIT.
He earned his master's of education in education administration from Arizona State after earning his undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona in criminology and criminal justice.
Zamora was a member of the football teams at New Mexico and Northern Arizona, earning BSN FCS All-America and All-Big Sky Conference honors.
