Santa Clara Collecting Red Cross Donations for Japan at CIT Post-season Game Tuesday

The Santa Clara University Athletics Department, in conjunction with the CollegeInsider.com Post-Season Tournament (CIT), will collect Red Cross donations in its first round game at the Santa Clara-Northern Arizona men's basketball game at 7 pm on Tues., March 15 in the Leavey Center.  The donations to be given to the Red Cross for assistance with the Japan Earthquake-Tsunami relief fund. 

The donations will be collected both at the door by members of the Santa Clara Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and also in the Bronco Bistro as part of the Bronco Bench Foundation.  If people would like to donate and can't attend the Northern Arizona game, they can drop off cash donations and checks (written out to: Red Cross) at the Bronco ticket office Monday and Tuesday from 9 am – 5 pm.

Season ticket holders with reserve chair back seating can purchase their seats for $20 per pair (2 for $20) as a thank you for the support this season.  The general public can purchase reserved chair back tickets for $20 each.  General admission tickets for the CIT game will be $5. Ruff Riders (Bronco student group) with valid Santa Clara I.D.'s will be admitted into the game free of charge and will be entered into a raffle for one of two $500 cash prizes, as a result of Bronco head coach Kerry Keating's generosity.

The CIT is a 24-team tournament that will feature 12 first-round games. Four of the teams that win first-round games will advance to the quarterfinals, while the other eight teams will play for the right to advance to the quarterfinals.
