Foster Named WCC Player of the Month Again in March

Already named the Most Valuable Player of the CollegeInsider.com Post-season Tournament, Bronco sophomore Kevin Foster was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Month in March on Wednesday.  Foster received the honor in February as well and was named the WCC Player of the Week twice this season as well.

Foster shattered the WCC record with 140 threes this season, which is No. 9 all-time in NCAA single season history.  He set the Bronco career three pointers attempted and also broke the single season school records for points scored, minutes played, threes made, threes attempted and games started.

"I appreciate the honor," said Foster. "I couldn't have done it without my teammates keeping confidence in me this season even when I had bad games."

When asked how many threes Foster thought he might make coming into this season, he smiled and laughed.  "I guess 90.  I made 85 my freshman year so I thought I could maybe make 90 this year."

Foster, who scored 23.3 ppg in the month of March, averaged 4.7 threes per game as well. Also in March, he led the Broncos with 3.7 spg and 1.3 apg.  He also averaged 3.7 rpg in 35.1 mpg.

He led the WCC in scoring this year with 20.2 ppg.  He led the team with 3.7 apg and 1.6 spg.  He was named All-WCC First Team.  CollegeInsider.com named Foster the MVP of the WCC this season and also a Mid-Major All-American.
