Kyle Bailey
"We knew coming in that we would have a chance (to win) if we came out at them hard and played well. This is a big win, not because they had the longest winning streak in the nation. This is a big win because it secured third-place in the conference and now we know we are going to play the sixth seed in the tournament. The last time Brian (Jones) fouled out I didn't really think I shouldered enough of the load or step-up quite like I should have. So, I made an effort to do that this time.

Steve Ross
"We know that when we play smart and we play hard, we can beat anybody. I think at times when we aren't at our best, not playing smart and not playing hard, that's been our problem. We know right from the get-go that is we want to have a chance to win against teams like we played tonight, we have to do those things. I think was probably the best game we have played all year as far as playing hard and smart right from the tipoff. If we went to the tournament in a week's time not having beaten Gonzaga or Pepperdine, we might not have known that we can do it. By winning tonight, we are telling ourselves that we just beat the best team in our league and we can compete with anyone. I think the guys on the team really is feeling comfortable playing with each other. We know who the leaders are on this team. Our job is to follow thier lead and do the best job we can."

Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few
"We talked all week about coming out and being the aggressor and making sure we attacked on offense and defense. Santa Clara plays very physical. That is the way they have always played us down here. I thought we were on our heels the entire first half and the first five minutes of the second half. They were definitely the aggressor and really took it to us. (Dickau) is a good player. When he gets going like that, he can really help us. I didn't see a lot of positives in the first half. I was proud that we showed some character and dug ourselves back into it, which is what a champion is supposed to do. We didn't quite make enough intellegent plays down the stretch."
