SOPHOMORE (2011): Was once again a key part of Santa Clara's side in 2011 ... played in 18 of the team's 20 games and started 15 times, helping the Broncos post the WCC's best overall record (11-5-4) and earn a national ranking of No. 18 ... Montes scored twice, had three assists and totaled 20 shots ... his first-ever collegiate goal came during a 4-0 rout over Nebraska-Omaha (Sept. 9) ... had two shots or more in eight different games ... he had a season-high three shots and dished out two assists in a 4-2 win at No. 14 Cal (Sept. 16) ... he scored and assisted to account for three-points and help Santa Clara knock off WCC rival San Diego (Oct. 30) ... played all but five combined minutes in critical road wins to close out the season at Gonzaga (Nov. 11) and at Portland (Nov. 13) to give SCU a chance at winning the WCC title. 

FRESHMAN (2010):
Part of an outstanding first-year class that helped Santa Clara win the 2010 West Coast Conference Championship ... one of just four players to start in all 21 games, including the NCAA tournament match at Sacramento State (Nov. 18) ... totaled 17 shots and put six on goal ... the 17 shots ranked sixth on the team ... distributed an assist in a pivotal 2-1 victory at San Diego (Oct. 29), during a weekend in which the Broncos took over first place in the league standings ... totaled a season-high three shots in two early-season games, vs. Wisconsin (Sept. 4) and vs. Valparaiso (Sept. 10) ... played a total of 1,126 minutes, which was among the most by any Bronco in 2010.
