AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07: Finished with 1-4 record in singles and did not participate in an official doubles match ... in the fall, played in the Bronco Classic and the Bulldog Classic, losing four matches to opponents from UC Davis, Stanford and Washington ... won his only dual match of the year in a supertiebreaker over Montana State's Myles Perkins 6-1, 6-7 (2), 1-0 (5) at No. 6.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma, Wash. from 2002-05, but graduated from San Joaquin High School in Irvine, CA ... played tennis under coach Dick Snyder, father of former SCU tennis player Jeff Synder '96, at Bellarmine Prep. ... played #1 singles for Bellarmine ... team went 45-0 and were the 2005 State Champions as well as three-time league champs... individually he played as #1 Doubles in the state and received runner-up award ... was named to the All-State First Team ... was USTA ranked as high as three in the Pacific Northwest Section in Boys 18s and 16s.
