AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012-13: SINGLES: Racked up a 14-2 record in his first season on the Mission Campus … was extraordinarily dependable during the season when he played locking down the No. 3 and 4 positions … bested then-No. 55 Tulane in a tough match, ultimately prevailing 2-6, 7-6, 6-2 … topped No. 70 Purdue 6-4, 7-6 … did not lose a match from Jan. 26 through Mar. 1 racking up seven straight wins … during the streak, he picked up strong wins against then-No. 50 BYU (7-6, 6-4) and then-No. 38 Boise State (6-2, 6-4) … DOUBLES: Combined with several partners in the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions … played with Tomasz Soltyka in a 9-8 win over Furman in the No. 2 position helping the team to a 4-3 win … teamed with Tom Pham to take down BYU’s No. 2 doubles pair, 8-6 … defeated No. 38 Boise State’s No. 3 doubles team, 8-7, with Eugene Muchynski.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was ranked No. 1 in Europe … participated in the European Championship … reached No. 61 in the International Tennis Federation (junior) rankings and 998 in ATP.

: From Sochi, Russia ... graduated from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia in Sochi in 2012 ... son of Aram and Susana Khacharyan ... has an older sister, Diana Khacharyan … interests include soccer and computers. He will be studying in the School of Arts and Sciences.
