    Ciao di Venezia, Italy!!

Day seven. Probably one of the best days of our tour thus far, and that is certainly saying something knowing the places we've been!

After leaving the beautiful city of Mantova, we boarded our bus and headed toward Verona where we saw the Fondazione Arena di Verona, which is a smaller version of the Coliseum in Rome. And I must say that if this is a "mini" Coliseum, I can't imagine the enormity of what stands in Rome. After some lunch on Capulet Street (yes, Juliet Capulet) we headed off to see the balcony that inspired Shakespeare's world known Romeo and Juliet. Love was certainly in the air... unfortunately not for anyone on our team! A little more shopping and then it was off to Venice!

Upon arrival in Venice we boarded a boat taxi which took us directly to our next hotel, the Hotel Bonvecchiati. After checking in, we "got cute" and dressed up for a nice Italian dinner in the streets of Venice. Dinner was terrific, but what was especially memorable this night was the standing ovation our team received as we exited the restaurant. I guess these Italian guys had never seen so many good looking, six-foot women!!

After dinner we headed out to get lost in the maze of streets and alleyways. We listened to the dueling orchestras in the Piazzo di San Marco, and then headed back to our hotel to rest up for our next exciting day.

What a day; what a trip! We hope all is well back at home and we'll see you all very soon. Ciao!
