AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2012-13: Named to the WCC All-Academic Team … played 13 rounds in five tournaments … shot a final-round 73, her best score of the season, at the WSU Cougar Cup … shot a second-round 78 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate … top finish was a tie for 27th at the Long Beach Gold Rush with scores of 80, 81 and 80.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011-12: Competed in eight of nine events for the Broncos as a true freshman and showed marked improvement towards the end of the season … top finish was a tie for 11th place at the 2011 Santa Clara Colby Invitational … tied for 27th at the Firestone Grill Invitational shooting rounds of 81, 83, and 81 … shot a season-best round of 72 at Wyoming Cowgirl Classic … finished tied for 22nd at the WCC Championships with rounds of 78, 83, and 82.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Ursuline Academy to three-straight Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 5A State Championships ... finished among the state's top ten in each of her four prep seasons and was a four-time all-state honoree ... as a sophomore in 2008-09, McCartan's top five finish helped Ursuline win its first state title since 1994 … in 2009-10 Ursuline won it again, this time by 55 strokes ... finished third in the state tournament as a senior, third in the district and fourth in the region … has won several Texas Legends Junior Tour (TLJT) tournaments, was named the 2009 TLJT Player of the Year, qualified for the Trusted Choice Big "I" Tournament in 2010, and played in the Kathy Whitworth Invitational in 2010 and 2011 … she was named an academic all-state honoree as a senior in 2011 and the school’s ‘Scholar Athlete of the Year.’

PERSONAL: Born and raised in Plano, Texas ... daughter of Luan and Mike McCartan ... older brother, Kyle, currently plays golf at Boston College ... an outstanding student, was a National Honor Society member and Ursuline Ambassadors club member ... has enjoyed doing different community service projects, including a three-day walk for breast cancer in 2009 and tutoring at various elementary schools.
