AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2013-14: Played seven rounds in three events with a 79.57 stroke average ... carded her first sub-par round with a 2-under 70 in the first round at the SCU Colby Invitational and tied for the lead after a second round 78 to finish at +4 148 but lost a sudden-death playoff on the second hole to teammate Annie Freman ... opened the season scoring 80-83-83=246 tying for 53rd at the Hobble Creek Invitational ... tied for 38th with 81-82=163 at the Firestone Grill Invitational ... did not compete during the spring.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2012-13: Competed in seven of 11 events playing 18 total rounds … Had one top 10 finish and a 79.33 stroke average … Had her best finish of the season tying for 10th with a season-low round of 72 in her first tournament, the Firestone Grill Invitational … Had two rounds of 79 to tie for 24th at the Santa Clara Colby Invitational and shot rounds of 78 and 79 one week later to place in a tie for 25th at the Lamkin Grip Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: One of the top prep golfers coming out of Northern California … won a series of tournament titles, which includes claiming the Sean Remen Memorial Junior Classic at Los Altos, the Woodcreek Golf Club Junior Championship and the Insurance Brokers and Agents of Sacramento Junior Qualifier … finished second at the Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) Coyote Creek event on November 13, 2011 … overall girls champion at the Junior Golf Association of Northern California Les Schwab Chico Jr. Classic in 2009 … California Women’s Amateur Championships (CWAC) Helen Lengfeld Division semi-finalist … led Christian Brothers High School to the state tournament while earning Capital Valley Conference all-league honors … JGANC Sportsmanship Award winner … also recognized as The First Tee of Greater Sacramento (TFTGS) Core Value Award winner.

PERSONAL: Born in Yuba City, Calif. … daughter of Frederick and Valerie Strain … has two older siblings, Kimberly and Derick … older brother, Derick, played golf at Cal Poly SLO … enjoys a number of additional outdoor activities including jet skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing … plans to study in SCU’s Leavey School of Business.
