A three-time letterwinner at Stanford University, Unruh played outfield and second base for the Cardinal from 1995-1998. After graduating, Unruh spent six seasons as the head coach at nearby Castilleja High School in Palo Alto, Calif. For a portion of that time, she also served as an assistant for the San Jose Strikjers. From 1999-2001 with the Strikkers, she focused on hitting and defense for the outfielders. In addition, from 2001-2002 Unruh was the head coach for Haar Discples, in Munich, Germany.

"We are excited to have Becky join our staff," said head coach Steve Rianda. "She brings great experience with both her own collegiate experience and her local coaching experience. While she will help in all areas, Becky's primary role is to assist with the Outfielders and Hitting."

After receiving her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Stanford, Unruh earned a master's degree in Biological Sciences at San Jose State University, and is currently enrolled as a Law Student here at Santa Clara.

"I'm thrilled to be back out on the field, there's no better excuse to put down the books," Unruh said. "I'm looking forward a lot of hard work and a great season with the Broncos."
