SANTA CLARA, Calif – The Santa Clara women's tennis team dropped its home match against the Fresno State Bulldogs by a final score of 7-0.  The loss puts the Broncos at 2-2 on the season.

The Bulldogs took the initial match of the day at the number one doubles spot as the Sherif Ahmed duo took down Chelby Cooke and Daniella Silva.  Freshmen Danielle Zinn and Riley Morgan pushed Sofya Malysheva and Tanya Murtagh to the brink at number three doubles, but eventually fell 8-7(4).

In singles, the Broncos fought for the games, but were unable to put away the sets and Fresno State claimed the match.

Next up for the Broncos is the Wichita State Shockers, whom Santa Clara hosts at 2 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 19.
